“Highest weekly sales hit”… I’ve sent that message each week for the past two months or so to my closest friends.
I think it’s mainly due to the nice weather but I’ll take a little bit of credit, too.
Our new menu was released at the end of March and our Naver Maps ranking has jumped quite considerably… the free crepe promotion is finally paying off 😉
All things considered, we hit the goals that we set out for at the end of 2025.
Let’s talk about jam.
I want to dominate the jam market in Korea.
Bread is on the rise and a quick Coupang search shows that there’s a real gap in the jam market.
As chezous continues to grow, I want to continue to develop more jam flavours and use chezous as the experimental testing ground and showroom. And hopefully, we can open up a commercial location to actually manufacture jam. That won’t be for some time though…
It actually makes sense. Our signature crepes are jam based. Maple apple thyme, banana passionfruit, blueberry black sesame… all jams.
They also have a high shelf life and the margins are good.
Producing jam commercially also unlocks new revenue streams for us. We can sell directly to consumers but also more notably, we can sell directly to other businesses like bakeries and cafes.
It’ll take a while but that’s where I’ve set my eyes…
Till next time,
Austin
